Founder

Victor Johnson has over 25 years of patent experience. He advises clients on a variety of intellectual property matters including patent and trademark preparation and prosecution, as well as due diligence, freedom to operate, invalidity, and noninfringement issues. Victor has counseled multinational companies, start-ups and entrepreneurs on developing and managing worldwide Intellectual Property (IP) portfolios. He has an extensive array of experience including automotive, locomotive and marine technologies, communications, medical devices, life sciences analytical equipment, manufacturing equipment and processes, software applications, and various consumer goods.

For nearly a decade prior to founding Santa Fe IP, Victor was a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, an AmLaw 100 firm, where he practiced in their San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. Prior to that, Victor practiced at IP Boutiques in Silicon Valley and Washington DC. Victor began his career at the US Patent and Trademark Office rising to the level of Primary Examiner focused on land vehicles and motor vehicles. While in law school Victor interned with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) assisting investigations and litigations concerning alleged violations of Section 337.
